General Information on Glentana
Glentana is situated on the Garden Route of South Africa, just east of the Great Brak River, almost half way between Mossel Bay and George. Glentana is famous for is stretches of sandy beaches and Fynbos covered cliffs. Situated in an ancient riverbed with steep cliffs on the sides which provide shelter from the wind, the village is the perfect respite from a busy city life, or just to relax for a days outing.
Fishermen can enjoy some rock fishing here and are likely to catch some good sized fish. Shell-collectors can explore the stretches of beach searching for the elusive "Pansy" shell. There are some fantastic caves situated in the cliffs, great for family exploring. Whale and dolphin viewing is also a highlight all along the Garden Route. Fancourt golf course is not too far away and is regarded as one of the country’s premier golf resorts.
Accommodation in Glentana includes guest houses, Bed and breakfasts, self-catering cottages and camping. The caravan park is only about 100 m away from the sea, so you can walk to the beach and watch the whales and dolphins swimming by in season.
