Jongensfontein located next to Stilbaai on the scenic South Cape coast’s Garden Route of the Western Cape in South Africa, is a seaside village offering the ideal holiday destination for those who love the ocean and fishing. The village is one of the most popular holiday resorts along the Garden Route and offers spectacular views of the ocean. Jongensfontein has some lovely unspoilt beaches, perfect for swimming, boating, fishing and other water sports. The coastline provides ideal conditions for anglers. Visitors fall in love with the unspoilt and rugged nature of this area.
Jongensfontein lies on the “Cape Whale Route” and in whale season (July - November) visitors will observe whale mothers playing with their calves. Whale watching is a firm favourite with families during this period, and the dedicated whale watching view point above the harbour is excellent for this purpose. Visit the Jongensfontein Museum for some interesting facts on the village and surrounds.
